New to tying Fairy Strands? Start with a KIT. Each KIT includes 15 strands in 18-inch lengths of the finest silk garment threads. The KIT has a beautiful picture of Queen Brighid by Brian Froud on the cover. It includes complete instructions on how to use the Pixie Pick, the fastest and strongest way of attaching the strands. The KIT also includes instructions for the original hand tying method. Strands are safe at high heat including hair dryers and straighteners. Strands do not need to be removed when dying or tinting hair. Strands generally last between 30 and 60 days; but "can last for months or just one day, when you lose a hair who can say?"
